Originally (\u003cstrong\u003ewithout The V-Height Pro\u003c\/strong\u003e), the VEVOR faceting machine could only be raised and lowered by supporting the entire quill head, loosening a few knobs, and then manually setting it where you need it. While with the girdle, I've seen some people literally hold the weight of the quill head with their hands while trying to facet because the height adjustment, that comes with it, blocks the possibility of faceting a girdle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThat's \u003cstrong\u003ewhere the V-Height Pro steps in\u003c\/strong\u003e; it's basically a shelf for your quill to move on - simply put. This allows it to be raised and lowered with one single turn of a knob, and allows it to easily lock in place without having to do anything extra. But the biggest reason it was made was to solve the girdle problem, which is exactly what the shelf part has conquered! It's step-down design allows the quill to be lowered beneath what the original could lower to.
